The english words to one of my favorite songs!!!
A sido largo el viaje pero al fin llegue, (it's been a long journey but i've finally arrived)
La luz llego a mis ojos aunque lo dude, (the light hits my eyes though at times I doubted)
Fueron muchos valles de inseguridad, (There have been many valleys of insecurity)
Los que cruze, (those i crossed)
Fueron muchos dias de tanto dudar, pero (There have been many days that were really hard, but)
Al fin llegue, y ya entendi... (I finally arrived, and i understand)
Que para esta hora he llegado, (That for this hour I have arrived)
A este tiempo naci, (For a time such as this)
En sus propositos eternos yo me vi, (In your eternal purposes I now see)
Para esta hora he llegado, (That for this hour I have arrived)
Aunque me ha costado creer, (Though at times it costed me to believe)
Entre sus planes para hoy me encontre. (Through your plans for me, I have found myself)
Y nunca imagine que dentro de su amor, (And I never imagined that I was inside your love)
Y dentro de sus planes me encotrara yo, (And in these your plans I found myself)
Fueron muchas veces que la timidez, (There have been many times that the fear came)
Me lo impidio, (I didn't give in)
Fuero muchos dias de tanto dudar, (There have been many days that were really hard)
Pero al fin llegue, y ya entendi... (But I finally arrived, and now I understand)
Que para esta hora he llegado, (That for this hour I have arrived)
A este tiempo naci, (for a time such as this)
En sus propositos eternos yo me vi, (In your eternal purposes I now see)
Para esta hora he llegado, (That for this hour I have arrived)

And the count down continues...almost gone
(one of my new favorite songs, it pretty much sums it all up)

Nearing the End
Well, I've almost made it. It's been 11 months and 3 days since I flew into the Salvadorian airport. And I only have 6 days left till I graduate from masters commission and 6 days after that I will once again return to that airport in San Salvador, El Salvador, this time to go back to the states.
It's been quite a year!!!!! I've learned, grown, cried, laughed, prayed and dreamed... now it's almost time to move onto the next "leg" of my life journy. Whatever it might hold.

Special Dinner
So I've been at my leaders, Gerrit's and Tara's, house all day doing homework. They had a meeting right after lunch so they left with the promise to be back in time to get us back to our house in time for dinner. Well, to make a long story short I'll just say that dinner is served at 6:30 and so at 6:25 we finally asked what had happened??? Well, their boss, (aka the boss of our boss) asked them to stay for dinner, which obviously they can't say no to. So, he told us we could make dinner here as long as we didn't eat his meat because that was for him tomorrow night. Needless to say we were all a little annoyed and frustrated. but what the devil meant for bad God used for good!!!!! Jannie, Jackie, Alli and I made dinner and set the table really nice and cleaned the house up. Then we all sat down to a meal of corn, stove top stuffing and egg salad sandwiches and ice tea. It was so nice. It was such a family type moment and I seriously almost cried thinking about leaving these people who have become a family away from family for me. We talked about different things we had gone through during this year and what we would miss about each other. It was so nice just sitting around a dinning room table with people I love and feel loved by and feeling relaxed. We slowly moved some of the dirty dishes to the kitchen and sat some more and talked. It was so awesome!!! Well I have to go because now Gerrit is almost home and I have to head back to our master's commission house. I just wanted to share a special moment I had with y'all!!!!!
I love you all a ton and miss you. Only two months till I see you agian!!!!

Well, everything is still going well here in El Salvador! We just a had another BIG DAY. September 15th was independence day for El Salvador so we had the Big Day about that. It was cool!!! We created two huge ships and a stage in the middle of the big filed by our tent/church and we had this huge play about the pilgrims and the Spaniards and El Salvador moving through the time of slavery and everything and than independence; then we compared it to the independence that can be found in Christ and had an alter call about being set free from bondage and then took it all down and went home to sleep (that was a very long run on sentence and I apologize)!!!!! We saw people get saved and delivered and healed and we claimed freedom for a lot of people's family members who did not attend the play.
What else is new????? I'm on my way back to the lake for two weeks for studying and classes. It should be fun but at the same time I'll miss being in town because there's more to do here!! We are busy both places but in different ways. Then there is the fact that there are stores and restaurants and places we can walk to here in the city.
El Salvador has really become home to me over the last year; I can't wait to come home! But at the same time I can't imagine what it will be like not being here!!!!!
Well, sorry i can't write a longer update. People are waiting for me so I have to get back home. Miss you all!!! God bless!

(P.S. If you are looking for things to pray for, please keep King's Castle Ministries in your prayers. We have grown so much and have so many different branches of ministry that it takes a lot to keep it all going. Our finances need prayer. As Castle raises up and trains more and more missionaries and sends them into the mission field, many of our supporters begin to support these young missionaries. As our support from the states splits more and more between our many missionaries other areas such as our compassion ministries, Master's Commission, Castle Club, coffee groups, and youth armies begin to feel the lack. Please pray for God's provision and blessings on King's Castle!!)

Still Alive and Well!!!
well, well, well,
long time no write everyone! Sorry I haven't been keeping this updated as much as I should. It's been pretty busy lately trying to get classes finished up and closing AIM season (the time of the year when we constantly have missions teams coming down from the states). But now that our last team left and I've caught up a little on my work I hope to write a little more frequently.
Four new English Track Master's Students (ETMS) just came in yesterday and we are expecting two more on wednesday. It weird but at the same time cool. It's like adopting a bunch of new kids all at one time into an already rather large family!! Lol it's cool getting to know new personalities, talents, and backgrounds but it's weird thinking that that they will now be around all the time. It should be a cool next four months.
Wow, only four months...
That doesn't seem like very much time at all! El Salvador has really become home to me these past 7 and 1/2 months. I've gotten to know the culture, people, lifestyle, church, language and norms. pretty well. It's so weird to think of leaving. At the same time I think in another four months I will be ready to start out on my next adventure, whatever that might be.
I don't have too much time to write because I have to finish my essay for my application to Southeastern University (were I might be attending when I get back to the states). So until next time!! Hope all is well, praying for you all!! God bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Panama was awesome!!
We did a lot of programs in schools throughout the week we were there. One of the most awesome times was at a public school. The pastors in Panama had tried to get into this school for the past seven years without success. The principal is a Christian as is her assistant so they quietly allowed us in and put us in a little back room and told us we could do two programs for two different classes that would have free time. So we did the first program and it was amazing we started off having fun and then we had a great ministry time. the youth who we had there were weeping and crying out to God (kids who had never been to church, who before that morning couldn't care less about God and were now completely in love with him) for their families and their lives. We went way over the time we had been given so we finally had end our first program and send the kids back to their class room. The next class came in and we started the program. The principal came in about 10 minuets into the program and asked if a few of us who spoke Spanish could come with her. So we went and she took us into the classroom of the class we had just had the program with. The kids were all still sitting in groups praying together and weeping. The teacher was so confused. The principal told us that we might as well stay and pray with them in their class since there was no way to do class with them. So we sat in their class room with them for praying with them worshiping. You could feel God presence in that room so strong. Same thing happens at the second program. The principal asked if we could please stay and do another program. So we ended up doing 4 programs that day and each program was like that. At one point Crystal our MA went into the cafeteria to buy a coke and there were 3 or 4 girls there who asked here what was going on. So here and one of our interns started talking to them. Our leader asked me and one of the other masters to go help them since we speak Spanish. So 3 girls turned into 8 girls. All of them accepted Christ and we were praying hard core with them. Well three of the girls (never been in church, never heard about the holy spirit) started speaking in other languages!!!!!!!!! So yes we started singing with them!! WE HAD WORSHIP SERVICE IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL CAFETERIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That afternoon when we left the school the principal asked us if we would please come the next morning because there was a whole new group of kids the next day who wouldn't have seen us yet. So we went the next morning and we did 5 more programs with the same kinds of results!!!
This is just one of the amazing stories of our week in Panama!!! God worked through our team. We are praying for a revival!!! And the pastors and castle teams that are still there are working hard to collect the ready and waiting harvest!!! Praise God!!
Well that's what I'm going to write for now! God bless y'all, pray for Panama and all of Central America and America. God has the power to do some amazing things if we are willing to get dirty and give all of our energy!! Love you all lots!! God bless!!!

Update
Well let's see were to begin...
It's been a long time since I wrote last so I'm trying to remember back. I might just start at the most recent thing and see how far back I can get in the time I have.
Ok let's start at this weekend...
Gerrit and Tara (my leaders) told me and my friend Allison on Friday that they feel like they never do anything special for the two of us. The other students have all had a problem or for one reason or another had to spend a night at Gerrit and Tara's house and/or go to dinner with them or something. They said that they felt bad because Alli and I are the ones they usually call for a favor or ask us to fix problems among the other students etc and so forth. So they wanted to do something special for us this weekend. So we were both just going to go to dinner with them this weekend. At the last minuet though, Alli found out that she had a team coming in yesterday morning. So Gerrit said that he still wanted to do something with me and next weekend he would do something special for Alli. So after we drove back into town yesterday morning and did some errands we came back to Gerrit and Tara's house and relaxed, used the internet, and had some fun conversations. After that we went out to dinner at Bennigens and rented a movie to bring back to the house. Then it got late so I ended up just spending the night here instead of going back to the casona (the place I live when I'm in town). So all in all it's been fun. I'm going to go to church with them this morning and then drive back out to the lake with them. World Warriors finish their week of training on Monday morning so after that I will drive back in to town with Gerrit and Tarra so that I will be here to pick up my next AIM (Ambassadors in Missions- groups from the US who come down to work with us, usually for 7-10 days) team on Tuesday.
My last team left on Thursday morning. They were a team of 13 women from all over Kentucky. It was just me and a second year named Carmen working on that team. Terri Triplet lead the team so that was a lot of fun. We picked them up from the air port Tuesday afternoon and drove out to the lake. Friday morning we had a orientation time with Don Triplet and then our team split into the different areas that they each wanted to work with. They all had different talents and different areas of interest so two went to work in the sewing room, two (and me) went to work in the warehouse, three (and Carmen) went to paint the meeting room in the Ohio house, 5 worked with compassion, so they found shoes for the kids who would come through the feeding program that afternoon and sorted pills for the clinic. And then three of them went into the master's storage to sort a ton of new clothes that had been donated for Master's Commission. After lunch the feeding program happens. We have about 50 kids who live around the King's Castle property. These kids are the poorest of the poor. Pastor Julio goes out and finds the families who have absolutely no food in their houses and gives each of their children a ticket so that they can come and eat at the castle. The feeding program started because there was a huge stray dog problem in the area, they would come and dig through our trash and our neighbor's trash. The neighbor's started to leave poison in the dump piles to kill the dogs. Some mothers from around the area came and asked Don if he would please not put poison in his dumpsters because that's were their children ate. So see the need Don started a feeding program for the area around the Castle. So Friday afternoon we worked with the kids who came to eat their one good meal (we feed them three times a week and afterwards they have classes as do their moms) at the castle. We served them and then gave them the shoes we had picked out for each one, from a big donation we had received at the warehouse. The Kentucky team had also brought a bunch of toys and prizes down with them so we gave each child some special toy as well. That afternoon we all went back to our different stations. Saturday morning the ladies wanted to see what a King's Castle program was like. So we went out with the guardians and another AIM team that was there at the time. Saturday night we went to the women's group at church where our team told their testimonies and were in charge of the teaching for the night. Sunday we went to the main church service and then went to Pizza hut for lunch and then went souvenir-ing. The rest of the time they were here they spent working in their different areas of expertise, some went to work in the clinic, others did landscaping around the castle etc. So on the whole they were a really fun team to work with because we didn't do the same thing every day but really got to see tons of different areas of castle.
Some other things that have happened since the last time I wrote are, Castle has now partnered up with L.A.C.C. (Latin American Child Care) and we did our first day of services at one of their schools the last time I wasn't with a team. It was really awesome time. We did 5 services for the different age groups and with each one God moved in the ministry time.
Castle, in an effort to become self sustainable in the food area, has now purchased 40 some odd sheep/goat things. We have a big sheep barn up back now and the masters students are all on a schedule of when they have to take their week to be a shepherd and look after the sheep.
I experienced my second earthquake since I've been down here. The first time I was sitting on the porch at the Casona (in English "The Big House") were we live when in town. We were watching a movie on someone's computer and all the sudden it felt like the the house was moving. My reaction was "wow those guys up stairs must really be going crazy in order to make a whole concrete house shake!!!!" The next second our leader came out of the house saying, "everyone outside, earthquake everyone out of the building!!!" The second one wasn't as big. I was at Don and Terri's house for a "meeting" aka dinner!! I was helping clean up and the floor seemed to move a little, Don and Gerrit got up at the exact same moment and said, "OK everyone walk out quick, up, up, up get out of the house!!" So that was an experience!!!
Let's see I guess I could go even further back and tell about Big Day Mother's Day but I think I might begin to bore my readers. SOOOOOO I think I'll leave you here. I need to get going in order to get to church on time. I miss you all lots and I'm praying for you. God bless!!!!!!

Very short note from El Salvador
Well I just wanted to drop a note and let everyone know that I'm still alive and well!!! Life is good! AIM season has officially started so that's going to keep me pretty busy for a while but I hope to have time to write a nice entry some time this weekend. I'm sorry this has to be so short. I'm at Don's house and just have a short amount of time left before I head back out to the camp for the rest of the week! So I just wanted to say hi and I miss you all lots!! God bless...

An Update
hey everyone!!!
Well I have my first real free weekend since I've been here. It feels so nice to relax and know that I don't have anything I HAVE to do! Today we are going to go to a water park for the day. Now keep in mind this is not a six flags park, it costs 4 dollars and has like six rides. BUT it will be so fun to just have fun! Then tonight we are going to make some good old American food here at Gerrit and Tarra's house. We are thinking some fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn bread and than some kind of amazing dessert. Tomorrow we have church in the morning (there are a bunch of kids graduating from the club Castillo program and becoming Guardians tomorrow so it's going to be a fun service) then maybe TJI Fridays in the afternoon and some shopping time! Monday morning we are going to get some much needed sleep and then go back out to the lake in the late morning/early afternoon. So all in all this should be an awesome weekend to catch my breath and relax!!!!We have one more week of classes at the lake before we switch back into town for our two weeks of ministry. We are finally really getting into a set schedule. Up till now we had a schedule but we only barley followed it because of Cumbre, and HUGE AIM teams and stuff like that. Now though we have our camp schedule and our town schedule and we switched between the two on the scheduled days.
When at the lake we have prayer from 5- 6 in the prayer fortress, exercises from 6-6:30 breakfast and time to get ready from 6:30- 7:30. Then classes start at 7:30 and go till lunch time at noon. Besides our normal classes (which right now are Old Testament Survey and Systematic Theology I) we are now taking "Homiletics/Public Speaking" "Swimming" (which we actually teach), "Hands of a Missionary" (which consists of 4 "semesters", sewing, electrics, baking, and building), "Spanish", "King's Castle History", and "Drama Class". So we keep pretty busy during the day. So we have classes in the afternoon also from 1:30 - 5:00. At 5:00 we have devotions then we have an hour of free time until dinner at 6:30. After dinner we have study time from 7:15 - 9:15.
Other parts of our schedule while at the lake include, fasting all day Thursday, and a two hour prayer shift once a week during the night at the prayer fortress. For example my shift this week was from 2:00 AM- 4:00 AM Tuesday morning. We also take turns doing the night service at the prayer fortress for the teams that are staying up there to pray each week. This is the 10 year anniversary of the prayer fortress, so there has been 24/ 7 prayer there for the past ten years!!! Pretty cool!
Our move to the Casona has been very nice. We are having some problems with the water there, we don't always have water. I had to take several water jug showers last week when we were staying there. So if you are looking for a prayer request you can pray that they find the problem so that we can have water there all the time. The other things we still need there is to move the kitchen there so we don't have to walk to the office every morning and to get internet. But other than those little inconveniences it's been nice to have everyone in one place and to be in walking distance of the office, grocery store, cloth store, burger king etc. It's also been good for communication purposes because we are all in the same house so everybody gets told the same things.
So...I think that's about it. Gerrit's telling us it's just about time to head out to the water park so I guess this will have to do for now! I love you all tons and miss you guys. God bless!!!

News
Well right now I'm getting ready to move tomorrow. When we are in the country we have a dorms that we live in and when we are in the city there are two buildings in different areas of the city. The guys live in one and us girls live in the other. Then there is a third building that we eat in. Well we are getting rid of the eating/office building. So the kitchen is moving to the building that the guys live in and the office is moving into our house so now we are moving into the empty floor of the building that the guys and the kitchen will be in as well. The hope is that it will save time and gas money because we wont have to drive back and forth. It will also make communication between the leaders easier. The down side of this little moving idea is that the building we are moving two doesn't have internet yet! So all that to say I probably will not have internet again for a long time...
or at least until Gerrit takes us to his house again. That will be our only sorce of internet until they can put wireless in at the Casona.
Other than that...
All is going well. Four days a week our team works in part of the city evangelizing in new areas and doing programs to invite people to accept Christ. After the service we get their addresses and on Saturdays and Sundays a bus goes to pick up the people who have accepted Christ to bring them to discipleship programs and to Church. During the week the people who are in charge of those areas start coffee groups with the adults, youth armadas (armies) for the teens and Club Castillos (Castle clubs) for the kids. On Friday we prepare class for Castle Club (kids over 8 and under 13) and Club Castillo Faliz (for kids under 8 years old). Then on Saturday we spend the day working with the kids from the different areas of the city who come to the Casona for their discipleship classes. Then on Sunday we go and pick up the families again, the parents go to the main church property and the kids and youth go to their discipleship program again at the casona. My favorite days are Saturday and Sunday. Because we have a personal relationship with the kids in the program and it's so much fun to work with them and watch them grow. I also love having them come in and being mobbed for hugs and having a million kids screaming your name and trying to tell you stories and asking to sit on your lap and asking how many more weeks you will be able to be there and begging to be in your group!!! Pretty much I love working with the kids!!!!!!!!!!!
So we have one more week in the city then we go back to the camp for our week of prayer at the prayer fortress. After that we have a week of classes at the lake and then we will be back in the city for another two weeks. Hopefully that will keep you all updated until the next time I have internet.
I miss you all lots! I wish you could all come down here some time this year and meet the cool people and see the beautiful country and hug the adorable kids! Praying for y'all, miss you lots, God bless!!!!!!!!!
